The Tillamook County Fair will be held Aug. 8-11, one week before we gather at Lincoln City for the Aug. 16-19 rally.
For those of you who can make a longer stay, you will enjoy the Pig and Ford Races held evenings at the fairgrounds. These are held nightly starting on Thursday. and with the championship race on Saturday night. The driver runs from his model T to a pen where he catches a small pig, tucks it under his arm, runs back to crank his truck to start it, races around the track, shuts off the motor, runs to exchange pigs and repeats the process. You can imagine why this is fun to watch. The pigs are not trained to cooperate.
Admission to the fair is $10 with $6 on Thursday for seniors. This admission is good for all events and performances.
10 spaces at the Tillamook Bay City RV Park are saved for us. This park is 3 miles north of the Tillamook Cheese Plant on Highway 101. You can save a site at the campground for as many nights as you choose. This is a Good Sam Park at $25.64 a night. These are pull-through 60 foot sites with 50 amp.
It would be fun to enjoy this time together before heading to Lincoln City. You WILL have to call to let the campground know you are coming to save your site NO LATER THAN MAY 26. Just tell them you are with the CBCs.
Ferrells are on the Oregon coast now and if they find other options that might be more appealing we will let you know.
